NAME: Client Project - Redesign a Cyber Security Platform (Landing Page)
Client project for Booz Allen Hamilton - March 2016
Skills: Requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, pitching/presenting to clients, iterative wireframes, Axure.
THE PROBLEM:
- My client wanted to know a way to organize the analysis buckets in a way that both beginner and advanced users can improve task completion.
THE APPROACH:
- Required UI: Create a landing page that:
- Clearly organizes all available analysis data buckets based on what segment of data users choose to analyze.
- Is technically possible given the constraints of the pre-existing CMS, development resources, knowledge and time.
- Provide access to help documentation within the system so that beginner/intermediate users can learn the platform.
- Next Steps:
- Run usability tests.
- Iterative usability tests to identify glitches and/or possible new features.
THE solution:
- Drop down selector for Data Source
- Clear title and text explaining the purpose of the site
- Utility navigation in typical location on the site
- Clear sub-headers and sections
- Clearly labeled icons
- Help links through major sections of the UI
Snapshot of the product's landing page prior to UI discussions and wireframe
Current recommended wires with notations so the client can best continue communication with developers and other stakeholders.
